Vietnam Coffee Prices – Market Rebounds, Robusta & Arabica Updates

As of 4:30 AM (Vietnam time) on April 1, 2025, coffee prices in Vietnam’s Tây Nguyên provinces have rebounded compared to the previous day, increasing by 600–800 VND/kg (equivalent to $0.024–$0.032/kg), depending on the region.

The average purchasing price is currently 132,900 VND/kg (~$5.29/kg).

Detailed Price Updates:

  • Đắk Lắk: 133,000 VND/kg (~$5.30/kg)
  • Lâm Đồng: 132,000 VND/kg (~$5.26/kg)
  • Gia Lai: 132,800 VND/kg (~$5.29/kg)
  • Đắk Nông: 133,000 VND/kg (~$5.30/kg)

(Exchange rate: 1 USD ≈ 25,100 VND, subject to fluctuations.)

Coffee prices are determined based on international futures markets, combined with continuous surveys from businesses and purchasing agents in key coffee-growing regions across Vietnam.

Market Trends & Global Factors

According to the Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), coffee prices have maintained an upward trend since early 2025 due to concerns over supply shortages from major producers. In Brazil, total coffee exports in February 2025 declined by 10% compared to the same period last year, reaching only 3.27 million bags.

Experts predict that Vietnamese coffee prices may remain volatile due to factors such as weather conditions, U.S. tariff policies, and global economic trends. Additionally, coffee importers are securing supply early to comply with the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), which will take effect by the end of 2025.

Although Vietnamese coffee prices have seen no major fluctuations, export activities and global market dynamics may impact pricing in the near future. Investors and farmers should closely monitor market developments to make informed decisions.

Vietnam’s Coffee Production & Export Outlook

The Vietnam Coffee-Cocoa Association (Vicofa) projects that Vietnam’s 2024–2025 coffee production will decrease by 5% compared to the previous crop year, down to approximately 27 million bags, due to climate change and shrinking plantation areas.

  • Q1 2025 coffee exports are estimated at $2.8 billion.
  • If current price levels persist, total coffee export revenue in 2025 could reach a record $8 billion.

According to Vietnam Customs, from January 1 to March 15, 2025, Vietnam exported 406,637 tons of coffee, generating $2.28 billion in revenue. This represents an 18% decrease in volume but a 41% increase in value compared to the same period in 2024.
